The Helmholtz Institute Mainz on Structure, Symmetry and Stability of Matter and Anti-Matter (HIM) is a strategic partner for the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence. It provides additional infrastructure on the JGU campus and focuses on new research opportunities in hadron physics, in particular at the FAIR facility of GSI Darmstadt.
Another partner on national level is Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin(HZB). The collaboration has been instrumental for testing the MESA cryomodules in the bERLinPro accelerator facility.
On the international level, PRISMA+ closely collaborates with the leading national research laboratory for particle physics in the US, Fermilab (FNAL).
